Is there any way to disconnect a projected object programatically?

Hi,

I have projected few person objects from AD to Metaverse using an inbound Sync rule the objects are now available as person objects in Metaverse.

I need to change the object type of those objects to custom object type(Eg: Generic Mailbox) i.e., I need to project these objects as custom objects in FIM.

I have figured out the below solutions:

a. Modify the existing Sync rule to filter out those objects. But this requires manual disconnections from  the connector space objects for all the required person objects and delete metaverse objects by applying some deletion rule. and creating a new inbound sync rule to project the user objects as custom objects in FIM.

b. Creating a new Management agent from AD->FIM to project user objects to custom objects. But this require the operational maintenance of new management agent.

Can anyone suggest me the best way to do this?

I would appreciate for any other solutions.

Thanks and Regards, Siva Kumar Balaguru
