The communication object, Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Workflow.Hosting.ResourceManagementWorkflowServiceHost, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state

Hit an issue with one of my FIM workflows.  The Request would fail, and in the WorkflowInstance I would see an error with this text:

The communication object, Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Workflow.Hosting.ResourceManagementWorkflowServiceHost, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.

It turned out to be an issue with the XOML in my WorkflowDefinition object in FIM.  the UI would render it just fine, but the XOML really made the FIM workflow host angry.

I don't think this is a common issue, I only hit it because I generate my own XOML for deployment automation, and in this case I did it wrong.

Anyhow, if you run into this error message you might get to skip to your XOML troubleshooting ;-)
